Mbappe misses training ahead of Man City clash
Real Madrid’s French star Kylian Mbappe did not participate in training with his teammates on Tuesday, just before the crucial Champions League match against Manchester City.
The forward sustained a finger injury during the loss to Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday. When approached by AFP, Madrid confirmed that his absence from training was due to this injury, as well as other discomforts he experienced during that game.
Should Mbappe be unable to compete against City on Wednesday, it would represent a significant setback for coach Xabi Alonso, with Spanish media suggesting that a loss could result in his termination.
The 26-year-old forward has netted 25 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season and has been a pivotal player for Madrid.
